THE BIGGEST POKER MISTAKES
Do not get me wrong you can be lucky but a smart player is a wealthy one and the gung ho player is a poorer one. The hand I have used as an example is just one of the varieties of bad hands that are available in a pack of cards at the hold em tables so do not think that this is the only one to avoid.
Let me create a sample for you to show you how this can work in a larger game of Hold Em.
If you were sitting down playing at a ten seated competition table and you are close to the beginning of the betting process and you call you can basically kiss your money goodbye as there are a number of factors that you need to take into consideration. If you have a seven and a queen and you are second in the order of play and you call then you have to think that what if somebody raises you and then you can see that somebody might have a good hand to begin with taking into account that there are already twenty cards from the deck on the table, it is quite possible and probable. So at this point is your hand of a queen and seven going to be the winning hand? You should fold unless you think the raiser is bluffing and then you re raise but this is a very risky game to play and usually fails so you lose more money again.
A good poker player knows how to play smart and this is why there are some very good players out there and some very bad ones. It is advised to stop wasting your money and chips by calling hands that are giving you a lower chance of winning. Some other hands include jack and five, as well as ten and eight and if you are in an early position then it is advised to fold unless you are in the blind position at the time or the dealer position then you could chance it and you never know you may get lucky but if you are in the early position then you should really fold and wait for the next hand.
If you avoid making the simplest of mistakes then you are on your way to becoming a good poker player and have a better chance of winning more.

Omaha Hold’em
Omaha Hold’em follows the same general pattern that Texas Hold’em does, but with some key and additional variations. In Omaha Hold’em, each player is dealt four cards face down and also gets to share five community cards with other players, all players attempting to make the best five card hand. Each player has to use two cards from his or her own face down cards and an additional three cards from the community cards. The rounds of betting and the sequence of the community cards are exactly the same as in Texas Hold’em, so this is another game that is widely considered to be more of a game of skill than a game of chance. Consequently, this game attracts many high profile and high talent players. The core of dedicated Omaha Hold’em players is a slightly different group than the Texas Hold’em players. Omaha Hold’em is a more complex and at times, a slower and more difficult game than is Texas Hold’em.
Omaha Hold’em has a number of variations, however. The most basic version of the game in North America is commonly referred to as Omaha High, in which the highest hand wins. The most popular variation is Omaha High-Low, in which each player plays a high hand and a low hand. The winning high hand and the winning low hand split the pot, but occasionally, the same player can hold both the high and low hands and will take the entire pot. Omaha Hold’em is also a fairly popular casino game in Europe, with the most popular version being the traditional Omaha High. Many casinos in Europe play with additional hole cards, or face down cards, usually with six. Another European version of Omaha Hold’em is called Courcheval, in which the four face down player cards and the first face up community card are dealt before any betting occurs. This reduces the rounds of betting and generally yields smaller pots.
Due to the mechanics of the game, players will discover that each hand will yield multiple possible combinations, often requiring more thought and time to determine what the highest hand to declare is. Omaha Hold’em poker, while a fairly popular game, has never achieved the level of popularity that Texas Hold’em has. This is most likely due to the added complexity of the game wit the different versions and especially the multiple, multiple hands that Omaha High-Low can generate. While it traces it’s origins to America, Omaha Hold’em is more popular in European casinos and more widely played and offered than it is in Las Vegas and in American casinos in general.

KEEP YOUR EYE OUT FOR THESE SIGNS AND YOU WILL BE ONE STEP CLOSER TO READING AN OPPONENT
There are a few signs that you can check for and these are not fool proof but sometimes they are a good way of reading what the other players have in front of them.
The first is the main sign of online poker and that is the speed of the other player’s response. Also check the response time of players who can check and do not need to call as this is viewed as the player has a weak hand as they have to think about it. If you are on a check and you, yourself have a weak hand you should check as fast as you can to avoid suspicion.
When people chat at a table is the second sign as this shows a sign of weakness and normally the players will explain why they did this and why they did that. The people who do this have been watching the pro’s on TV and are trying to copy them but unless they are a pro then their mind is elsewhere and not o n the game at hand so they are classed as weak.
Unfortunately the third is one of the most common signs that fill the online poker tournaments to many times these days and these are the people who always go all in. The people who do this usually do this during the earlier stages of a tournament and they have developed the philosophy of live or die in the game. These players are called maniacs and you can spot them easily so if you just bide your time for a good hand then chances are that you will take them out unless the cards drawn go in their favour. You do have to be very careful though as if these players are allowed to continue to play like this then they can become the leading chip player and then begin to play the game on good hands.
The fourth is the opposite of the all in player and these are the players who only play the best hands. He will always try to see the hands if the he can check but if someone raises then they usually fold unless they have a good pair of cards in front of them. In a way if you can vary it slightly you can utilize this into your own game and if the player who always checks and folds calls the bet then you should fold.

EVEREST POKER DOES NOT HAVE A MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB
Everest Poker is a multi national poker room that provides software in a variety of languages which include French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Norwegian, Dutch, and Swedish and of course English which certainly gives you a large selection to choose from. All in all there are sixteen different languages to choose from so you should be able to find the right language for you.
The software that Everest Poker uses is certainly up there with the best as it provides the player with a crisp and fast online poker experience that is among the best that the internet has to offer.
The only real letdown of Everest Poker is that there is no real variety of games on offer to choose from as with other online poker sites. While most other sites give you quite a large selection Everest Poker only allows you to play the two most popular games that are in vogue at the moment and they are Texas Hold Em and Omaha but according to reports they are working on other games that will be added and these will include Seven Card Stud which will certainly help to establish Everest Poker as one of the industries leading players.
Everest Poker are one of the very few sites that made a profit from the US market after the gaming restrictions in America were introduced due to the new US gambling legislation restricting credit card companies from collecting wagers made on their cards and this was thanks largely to their multi national following.
In terms of traffic through the website as you would expect with such a large multi national following and real money games can reach numbers of around seven thousand ring players while there are around sixteen thousand players online during tournament peak hours which put it in the top half of traffic providers in the online gaming poker world.
Overall with its decent software and steady flow of traffic Everest Poker offers players a good gaming experience with the limit of just being able to play two variations of the game and the chance to talk to people all over the world Everest Poker certainly hold its own in the online poker world and with the promise of new variations being introduced this is certainly an online poker website that you should keep your eye on in the future.

ACTION POKER IS FULL OF FIGHT
Action Poker is not one of the world’s most popular online poker sites but with regards to what they do provide they deliver very well. Action Poker is part of the Action Poker Network and is the flag ship site of the network and using a software engine that is designed by the PlaySafe Holdings Company you can be sure of a very competent and all round well formed online poker experience. Most of the action on the site is extremely casual and the skill level from most of the players is quite low so it is a good site for people to try their hand at the game of poker for the first time or a chance for a player who knows what they are doing to earn a bit of extra cash.
The amount of players available on the network is well below the average that you would expect from some of the other poker sites and this is not helped by the fact that they do not allow players from the US. This id due to the introduction of a new US legislation preventing credit card companies from actually collecting on monies made for wagers using credit cards and because of this Action Poker as have a number of other poker sites have suspended all real money games for the United States so the numbers have suffered due to this.
In regards to the games available on the network they offer some different games and variations that are different to the usual run of the mill games but they also do incorporate all of the usual games. On offer are the standard games of Texas Hold Em , Omaha and Seven card stud there are the more unusual and exotic games like Pan and Big Two as well as Chinese Poker so as far as a change of atmosphere and different games go Action Poker has certainly got a few different bases covered.
In terms of software then the Action Poker website has got a simple yet effective game engine and provide their players with all the usual features that you would come to expect from an online poker site. Designed by the PlaySafe Holdings AS the software has fewer frills than some of the other more established online poker sites but as a first base for your poker career to begin with it is a decent online poker experience.
As the stakes are low on the tables then it is said to be difficult to find some tables with higher stakes on the tables so making some large amounts of cash are not really on the agenda. The actual traffic then through the site are as you would have guessed are very low in terms of the volume with around one hundred and fifty players available in ring games and a figure of around five hundred for their tournaments during their peak hours. Action Poker is a small and simple site that is a good stepping stone for some of the larger poker rooms but there is still plenty of action to be had here.
